Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Driver to join our team at the receiving end of our production. The ideal candidate will be comfortable maneuvering large metal beams and handling items not fixed on pallets. This role will involve precise handling and transportation of various oversized items on rough gravel surfaces.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a forklift safely to move and position materials at the receiving end
• Maneuver large metal beams and handle items that are not fixed on pallets
• Inspect and maintain the forklift to ensure safety and efficiency
• Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed
• Liaise with shop workers to ensure they have materials for production
• Follow all safety procedures and protocols

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• Valid forklift operator certification
• Proven professional experience as a forklift driver
• Ability to handle non-palletized items with care
• Strong attention to detail and focus on safety
• Physical strength and stamina to perform lifting and moving tasks
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team
