Job Title: Project Director Job ID: RM9095171414Location: Toronto, ONOverview:The Project Director will be responsible for the overall project/program for one or more of our clients and resource management within each of the project teams. The successful candidate will be a key customer point of contact responsible for building and growing customer relationships. Applicants should have a strong technical background, ideally in software development consulting.What you will be doing:
- Ensuring that we deliver premier customer service across all projects and engagements
- Consistently lead, manage and control all phases of a software development project/program ensuring a high-quality project delivery
- Actively monitor and track scope, project plans, risks, actions, issues, decisions, and change requests throughout the project lifecycle
- Oversee day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of projects, working across teams to leverage industry best practices and our standards
- Ensure continuous risk management planning & assessment for every phase of the project
- Manage the “project kick off” to “project hand off” processes from inception through completion of development projects
- Build, motivate and effectively manage multidisciplinary project teams to ensure that project delivery expectations are clearly defined and met
- Monitoring project and overhead costs to ensure that each project achieves its profit targets
- Collaborating with the Sales team to promote customer success and expand account footprint
- Post-secondary education in Software Development, Software Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of Technical Project Management experience managing large software projects
- Excellent written/oral communication and presentation skills
- Capable of communicating effectively with technical and business/management client teams
- Experience writing, negotiating and managing statements of work, master service agreements and change requests
- Working knowledge and recent experience in of the software development life cycle and associated agile processes
- Strong background in managing program/project financials
- Prior sales experience working in a consulting role a definite plus
- Proven leader and team motivator
- Capable of managing multiple simultaneous projects using a shared resource pool
- Prior experience hiring and managing team members such as: developers, designers, architects, project managers and coordinators, etc.
- Managed projects from inception to release to production
- Experience with customers and projects during the (post-production) support period an asset
