The Opportunity
As a Project Coordinator working in our Civil & Infrastructure Operations team at Pomerleau Construction, you manage several activities and deadlines to gain a clearer picture of client, team and project needs. Working on large-scale building and infrastructure projects – ranging from $1.5 million to upwards of $1 billion – you will play a crucial role in the successful management of stakeholder communications, ensuring resource availability, and overseeing various administrative tasks.
Please note that this role is for the Woodfibre LNG project 7 km from Squamish. This is daytime shift based work at a remote project site with accommodations on a Floatel. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable working within this environment.

What YOU Will Do

  • Work closely with the Senior Project Manager and Project Team by providing assistance with coordination and project support.
  • Collaborate and keep the lines of communication open when working with team members, trade partners, consultants and clients.
  • Take pride in your ability to effectively review, interpret and update the construction schedules.
  • Utilize your passion for organization through maintenance, review and follow-up of shop drawings, RFI's, material purchase orders, change notice quotes and project completion documents.
  • Effectively collect, review and analyze project quotes with emphasis on obtaining the very best prices in the market.
  • Take pride in compiling and completing company wide project reports.
  • Assemble, attend, document and emphasize the importance of project meetings.
  • Provide necessary support to our Quality department regarding project start-up documentation.
  • Demonstrate leadership in Health, Safety and Environmental Protection on the project. Effectively apply the requirements of the project specific safety standards to promote Pomerleau's HS&E standards, applicable OH&S acts, regulations and codes with all employees and trade partners on the project.

What YOU Will Bring

  • 3-5 years' experience in the civil and/or infrastructure construction industry.
  • A University Degree/Technology Diploma in Engineering, or a combination of education and industry experience.
  • Previous experience working on a large-scale construction project – civil/infrastructure
  • A proven track record of project coordination and team collaboration.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and provide creative solutions to problems that present themselves.
  • Comfortable in working at a remote camp project in Squamish

The expected salary range for this opportunity is $70,000 - $90,000, plus applicable Project Assignment Uplift. Please note that salaries may vary depending on the candidate's experience and geographical location. Listed compensation is exclusive of bonus and in addition to our extensive employee benefits program which is listed above. Availability of certain benefits may vary based on the specific job role.
