WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Ensure that quotes and orders are priced accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all customer complaints, problems, changes, back charges, and extra costs associated are managed in an efficient and ethical manner.
  • Resolve customer issues related to materials, details, and construction methods for the duration of the project, including post project including assisting customers on site, if necessary.
  • Build customer loyalty and represent the ExSteel brand by acting as the primary liaison between the customer and ExSteel.
  • Ensure that ExSteel margins are met.
  • Prepare ExSteel quotes, bills of material and enter orders utilizing the B.O.M. program, and ensuring customer data base is current in CRM and related management information systems (assist in keeping the backlog report and want dates current)
  • Ensure all departments have the necessary information to meet schedules and deadlines established for projects (this includes establishing credit and terms of payment for each order in conjunction with Finance policies and procedures)
  • Establish and manage agreed upon payment terms in the order management system.
  • Expedite projects from time of order through to final shipping to maintain delivery agreements.
  • Communicate any changes in schedule due to material, order processing or fabricating to the internal departments affected, the customer and the District Manager. This must be done in a timely fashion and the management information systems updated accordingly.
  • Pricing re-roof projects that require drafting and engineering support
  • Ensure that the customer service files, CRM, and Visual are kept up to date and include all related correspondence and information.
  • Ability to handle people in a diplomatic and courteous manner is essential along with building rapport with customers.
  • Selling ExSteel components at a fair market value while keeping the company's best interest in mind
  • Liaise with production team and shipping team to coordinate trailer requirements, customer pickup arrangements, and shipping dates.
  • Prepare sketches of customized parts to send to production.
  • Contact purchase and stock department to confirm material availability for immediate pick-up orders.
  • Ability to decipher Structural and Architectural drawings submitted by customers.
  • Assure customers' standing credit limit prior sending orders confirmation, as well as discuss specific payment terms according to the order's amount.
  • Provide feasible lead times according to current production schedule.
  • Display extensive Product knowledge.
  • Adapts to changes in the work environment, manages competing demands, and is able to deal with change, delays or unexpected events.
  • Determine/communicate delivery schedules and customer offload capabilities.
  • Inform customers about delivery dates and potential delays.
  • Learn to identify customer needs or desires in order to recommend the appropriate product or service.
  • Additional responsibilities may be assigned.

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Thoroughly understand manufacturing processes (tolerances, capabilities) of the products that ExSteel sells.
  • Understand metal building construction methods and details.
  • Ability to work cohesively within a diverse team.
  • Ability to prioritize workload utilizing time management skills.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft programs, SharePoint, CRM, Bluebeam, and Excel.
  • Exceptional communication skills, able to read, write, and speak English.
  • Ability to read, write, and speak French considered an asset.
  • Ability to adapt to changing environments and timelines.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Post-Secondary Diploma or Degree related to Construction, Engineering, Architecture, or related education preferred but not necessary.
  • Excellent internal and external customer relationship management skills.
  • Drafting techniques (including AutoCAD and / or other drafting software).
  • Demonstrated time management and organizational skills.
