There is an auditorium-style venue offering live entertainment – musical acts, bands and comedians – and also features a theatre-sized, high definition screen for catching the game or watching a wide range of other entertainment programming. The Rec Room offers an upscale casual dining environment, featuring an open kitchen and a contemporary menu offering everyone's favourites, as well as an "eatertainment-style" concept in the games area. A large centre bar area with adjacent stage includes impressive digital displays and serves as the gathering spot for watching the big game or other major events. The Rec Room integrates a cutting-edge interactive technology platform that enhances all aspects of the entertainment experience.
Cineplex Entertainment, headquartered in Toronto, Ontario, is currently recruiting for the position of AV Specialist – Rec Room Masonville, reporting to the Entertainment Manager. This position will be based at our Rec Room Masonville, 1680 Richmond St. London, Ontario.
TRR Hourly AV Specialist
The Rec Room's Hourly AV Specialists are an integral part of the team who provide an exceptional gaming experience to each and every guest. If you thrive in an energetic, fast-paced and social atmosphere, this may be the opportunity for you!
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Provide technical support to a variety of entertainment offerings including music, comedy, screenings, interactive events, onstage conversations, corporate events and personal celebrations.
- Ensure a consistent standard of delivery for AV services which are best-in-class.
- Maintain in-venue displays and Crestron controls.
- Participate in regular maintenance program and ensure AV inventory is kept in a good state of repair.
- Appropriately handle delivery of materials to The Rec Room, internal and external.
- Complete reports on AV presentation for events.
- Work with service providers as required.
Qualifications:
The Rec Room may be a perfect fit for you if:
- You have strong AV experience in audio engineering, stage lighting and video presentation.
- You have 3-5 years' experience in live event AV production.
- You have a degree or Diploma in AV Production.
- You have a high degree of familiarity with emerging trends in AV Production and interactive technologies.
- You have excellent IT Skills specifically Microsoft Office.
- You have strong communication skills both verbal and written.
- You have innovative problem-solving skills and excellent time management.
- A familiarity with the local entertainment industry an asset.
