Key Responsibilities
As a Concrete Finisher, your expertise will be essential in various settings, including:
- Rural areas
- Commercial projects
- Prefab/shop fabrication
- Residential constructions
- Sidewalks and curbs
Your tasks will include:
- Checking formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials
- Directing the placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
- Operating power vibrators to compact concrete
- Leveling top surface concrete according to grade and depth specifications
- Imparting desired finishes to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
- Instructing apprentices
- Installing anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills, and other fixtures
- Applying hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
- Waterproofing, damp proofing, and restoring surfaces
- Repairing, resurfacing, and replacing worn or damaged sections of concrete structures
- Reading and interpreting blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications
