Key Responsibilities

  • Command and operate ships or vessels to transport passengers and cargo.

  • Ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers on board.
  • Utilize navigational instruments, maps, and charts to determine geographical positions.
  • Direct and oversee the loading and unloading of cargo.
  • Control, steer, and navigate vessels through various waterways.
  • Record vessel's progress, weather, and sea conditions in the ship's log.
  • Board vessels at berth or from pilot boats to advise captains on safe passage.

Supervision

You will be responsible for supervising a team of 16-20 people, ensuring effective communication and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Education: Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Experience: 5 years or more in a relevant field
