About the Role

As an Interpretive Guide, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the visitor experience at our museum and interpretive centre. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting in the research, handling, and storage of artifacts.
  • Helping with the planning and development of travelling exhibitions and special events.
  • Classifying and assigning registration numbers to artifacts while supervising inventory control.
  • Conducting guided tours of museums, gallery exhibitions, and historical sites, answering inquiries, and providing information.

Who We’re Looking For

We welcome applicants with a variety of backgrounds. While a degree, certificate, or diploma is not required, any relevant experience will be considered an asset. We are particularly interested in candidates who are:

  • Currently enrolled as full-time or part-time students.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.

Technical Skills

Ideal candidates will possess technical experience in:

  • Curatorial assisting

Compensation

The hourly wage for this position is $15.70.
