• Spreading sand or salt on sidewalks for snow or ice control
• Digging ditches and trenches
• Operating jackhammers and drills to break up pavement
• Collecting and loading refuse on garbage trucks
• Assisting in routine maintenance and repair of equipment
• Shoveling cement and other materials into cement mixers, spreading concrete and asphalt on road surfaces using shovels, rakes, and hand tampers
• Sweeping debris and removing snow from streets, sidewalks, building grounds, and other areas, and loading snow and debris into carts or trucks
• Maintaining and repairing water well pumps, piping systems, and equipment

Who We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
• Experience: Previous experience is an asset but not mandatory
• Transportation: A valid driver's licence is required

This position is primarily outdoors, and the work can be physically demanding. You will be part of a municipal government team dedicated to serving the community.
