Are you a skilled carpenter looking to take your career to the next level? Wallace Construction is seeking a dedicated and experienced Journeyman/woman Carpenter to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position offering 35 to 40 hours of work per week, where you will have the opportunity to showcase your craftsmanship across various construction and renovation projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Read blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Prepare layouts in conformance with building codes, using measuring tools.
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Instruct apprentices and share your expertise.
- Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in various settings, including mills, mines, hospitals, and industrial plants.
