About the Role

As an Early Childhood Education Worker, you will play a crucial role in shaping the lives of children by creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating environment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting co-workers with housekeeping and cooking duties.
  • Developing and implementing child-care programs that support and promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Leading activities by telling or reading stories, teaching songs, and taking children to local points of interest.
  • Encouraging children to express their creativity through art, dramatic play, music, and physical activity.
  • Engaging children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs, and preparing crafts.
  • Guiding and assisting children in developing proper eating, dressing, and toilet habits.
  • Attending staff meetings to discuss the progress and challenges of children.

Requirements

Education

  • Completion of a college, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program lasting 1 to 2 years.

Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in early childhood education.
