In this role, you will play a vital part in guiding clients through their employment journey, helping them overcome barriers and find fulfilling job opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct interviews with clients to gather information on their employment history, educational background, and career aspirations.
  • Refer clients to appropriate external services to support their job search.
  • Identify barriers to employment and assist clients with job readiness skills, job search strategies, résumé writing, and interview preparation.
  • Perform administrative tasks to ensure smooth operations.
  • Advise employers on human resource and employment-related issues.
  • Administer and interpret tests to assess clients' interests, aptitudes, and abilities.
  • Collect and provide labour market information regarding job openings and skill requirements.
  • Support established workers with strategies for job satisfaction, mid-career changes, and workplace transitions.
  • Conduct vocational testing and psychometric assessments.
  • Write daily progress reports to track client development.

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Experience

  • Experience in a similar role is an asset.

Work Setting

  • Community-based agency.

Technical Skills

  • Proficient in MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.

Security and Safety

  • Must be bondable and pass a criminal record check.
