This is a permanent position offering 44 hours of work per week, where you will play a crucial role in creating beautiful stone products that honor and memorialize loved ones.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate blade or wire saws to cut blocks of stone to specified dimensions.
• Set up, adjust, and operate single-function machines to mix, drill, grind, and cut concrete to specifications.
• Conduct quality control checks on products.
• Utilize forklifts, cranes, or hydraulic hoists to move products safely.
• Grind and polish surfaces of stone blocks, slabs, or other stone products to achieve a smooth finish.
• Operate sandblasting equipment to inscribe or create decorative designs in monumental stone.
• Perform ongoing machine adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
• Position reinforcing rods or wire mesh in molds as needed.
• Read blueprints, schemas, and drawings to execute precise cuts and designs.
• Drill holes in blocks or slabs of stone according to specifications.
• Finish stone products with spray paint and by mounting plaques or installing concrete bases.

Work Environment

The work site can be noisy, dusty, and may have odours. As a Granite Cutter, you will be handling heavy loads and performing physically demanding tasks that require attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.

Requirements
