About the Job

This is a permanent position that offers a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week. As a Manual Machinist, you will play a crucial role in our operations by utilizing your expertise to produce high-quality machine parts. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Computing dimensions and tolerances of machine parts
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, charts, and tables
  • Setting up and adjusting production machinery and tools
  • Fitting and assembling components and machine parts to close tolerances
  • Maintaining inspection records and completing inspection reports
  • Verifying dimensions of machined parts using precise measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers)
  • Setting up and operating conventional and computer-controlled machine tools

Requirements

To be successful in this role, candidates must meet the following requirements:

  • Education: Registered Apprenticeship certificate in Machine Tool Technology/Machinist or equivalent experience
  • Experience: 5 years or more in a similar role
  • Certificates: Machinist Trade Certification and Machinist Red Seal Endorsement
