About the Job

As an Estimator, you will play a crucial role in our construction projects by preparing accurate estimates of labor and material costs. Your expertise will help us deliver exceptional results to our clients while ensuring that projects stay on budget and on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare estimates of labor and/or material costs
• Read blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine work requirements
• Operate CADD and other computer software systems
• Create and submit estimate reports, quote sheets, and bid forms
• Utilize quantity take-off procedures
• Analyze tenders and recommend awards
• Liaise, consult, and communicate with engineers, architects, owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates

Requirements

• Employment Duration: Permanent

• Work Hours: 40 to 45 hours per week
• Education: College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 to 2 years
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years in commercial and/or industrial construction
