Key Responsibilities

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will:

• Load and unload goods with care and efficiency.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials across long distances.
• Oversee the condition of your vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other essential equipment.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs when necessary.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring all aspects of the vehicle are in top condition.
• Carry out preventive maintenance to keep your truck running smoothly.
• Receive and relay information to central dispatch, maintaining clear communication.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption accurately.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should meet the following criteria:

• Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
• Experience: Will train—no prior experience necessary!
• Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses: Valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
