Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot and inspect equipment to identify faults and malfunctions.
- Diagnose issues using computerized and other testing equipment to assess repair needs.
- Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts as necessary.
- Keep meticulous maintenance reports and documentation.
- Test repaired equipment for proper performance, ensuring adherence to manufacturers' specifications.
- Attach components and adjust new farm equipment for optimal functionality.
- Perform regular maintenance, including cleaning and lubrication.
- Conduct repair work on heavy trucks and service attachments and working tools.
- Instruct apprentices and share your expertise with the next generation of mechanics.
