About the Role
As a Sprinkler Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and functionality of fire protection systems. Key Responsibilities
- Install sprinkler heads and mount prepared pipe in supports.
- Select, measure, cut, ream, and thread pipe with precision.
- Utilize hand and power tools to install clamps, brackets, and hangers that support the piping system and fire protection equipment.
- Install valves, alarms, and associated equipment to enhance system performance.
- Join pipes and piping sections using soldering and welding techniques.
- Conduct leak tests on systems using air or liquid pressure equipment.
- Cut openings for pipes in walls, floors, and ceilings using appropriate tools and machinery.
- Install supports, valves, piping, and control systems as required.
- Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy in installation.
Requirements
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: Previous experience is an asset, but equivalent experience will also be considered.
