Key Responsibilities

• Install plumbing fixtures and systems for domestic, commercial, or industrial applications.

• Instruct and mentor apprentices to help them grow in their plumbing careers.
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures in walls and floors.
• Cut openings in walls and floors to accommodate piping and fittings.
• Join pipes using a variety of methods including couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, soldering, brazing, and welding.
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges.
• Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing based on project needs.
• Supervise and coordinate the work of other plumbing personnel.
• Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipes to meet specifications.
