Job Details

What You’ll Do

As an Apprentice Plumber, you will be involved in various tasks, including:

• Reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine plumbing system layouts
• Locating and marking positions for pipe connections, passage holes, and fixtures
• Cutting openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipes and fittings
• Joining pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, or soldering, brazing, and welding equipment
• Testing pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• Measuring, cutting, threading, and bending pipes to required shapes and sizes

Requirements

• Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma required
• Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years
• Certificates: WHMIS Certificate
• Transportation: Own transportation required
