Key Responsibilities

• Install and overhaul heating systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Install and troubleshoot ventilation, air handling, refrigeration, and air conditioning systems.
• Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components.
• Coach and instruct apprentices, sharing your valuable knowledge.
• Measure, cut, and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.
• Start up systems and test for leaks using various testing devices.
• Perform essential maintenance, including recharging systems with refrigerant.
• Repair and replace parts and components for refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, or heat pump systems.

Work Environment

The role is physically demanding and will require you to work in various conditions, including:

• Hot and cold/refrigerated settings

Qualifications

• Hold a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic Red Seal Certificate.
• Possess an Ozone Depletion Prevention (ODP) Certificate.
• Have an Occupational Health and Safety Certificate.
• Complete a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Other trades certificate or diploma in heating, air conditioning, ventilation, or refrigeration maintenance technology/technician or equivalent experience.
• Valid driver's license and own transportation.
• Ability to pass a criminal record check and driver's validity license check.
