As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will play a crucial role in transporting goods and materials across long distances while ensuring safety and efficiency.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions using computer equipment, GPS, or other navigation devices to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions.
• Address customers' complaints or concerns with professionalism and care.
• Load and unload goods safely and efficiently.
• Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.
• Oversee the condition of the vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
• Perform emergency roadside repairs when necessary.
• Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle.
• Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption accurately.
• Tarp and ensure the safety and security of cargo during transport.

Requirements

Education

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Certificates, Licences, Memberships, and Courses

• Air Brakes Endorsement
• Class 1/1F/A Licence (semi trailer trucks)

Communication Systems Experience

• Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
• Experience with trip recorders (on-board computers).
