What You’ll Do

As a Seafood Preparer, your responsibilities will include:

  • Cutting and weighing fish fillets according to specifications.
  • Cleaning, trimming, and preparing fish or seafood for marketing or further processing.
  • Inspecting fish fillets to determine optimal size and quantity.
  • Using knives to scrape scales, cut fish, separate fillets, and remove scrap parts.
  • Transporting fish and shellfish to the work area.
  • Conditioning fish fillets for wrapping or freezing.
  • Disjointing and removing meat from lobsters or other crustaceans for canning or further processing.
  • Recording production information accurately.
  • Setting up and operating machines for various processing tasks.
  • Weighing fish or shellfish, recording weight, and packing fish in ice.
  • Cleaning machines and immediate work areas to maintain a safe environment.

Work Environment

Our work site is characterized by:

Physical Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should be prepared for:
