Position Overview

As a Nurse Practitioner, you will play a crucial role in our healthcare team. You will collaborate with various healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care, coordinate treatment plans, and support patients and their families through their healthcare journeys. This is a permanent position offering 30 to 40 hours of work per week.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with members of an interdisciplinary health team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Evaluate patient care and progress, implementing interdisciplinary plans as needed.
  • Interpret medical test results and monitor patients, advising physicians of any changes in their condition.
  • Order and perform diagnostic tests, including laboratory tests and X-rays.
  • Provide primary care to women and their babies during pregnancy, labor, and the post-natal period.
  • Support patients and families through end-of-life counseling and bereavement support.
  • Advise patients on drug and alcohol rehabilitation programs and health care options.
  • Ensure infection control and provide health maintenance education.
  • Conduct patient interviews, physical assessments, and take medical histories.
  • Inoculate and vaccinate patients to prevent and treat diseases.
  • Perform and assist in routine surgeries as required.

Qualifications

  • Education: Master's degree in Nursing.
  • Experience: 1 to less than 7 months in a relevant healthcare setting.
  • Work Language: English.
  • Availability: Must be available for shift or on-call work.
  • Legal Eligibility: Must be legally able to work in Canada.
