Key Responsibilities:
Client Relationship Management: Build and nurture lasting relationships with a diverse mix of clients, understanding their needs and aligning them with our lifestyle content offerings.
Sales Strategy Execution: Develop and implement strategic sales plans to meet and exceed assigned revenue targets while identifying new business opportunities in both direct sales and sponsorship avenues.
Sponsorship and Advertising Opportunities: Collaborate with internal teams including ad operations, editorial, and commercial content to create compelling sponsorship proposals that reflect client objectives and highlight our audience engagement.
Market Research & Insights: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and market developments to identify new opportunities and refine our sales approach.
Sales Presentations: Create and deliver persuasive sales presentations that communicate the value of our lifestyle content and integrated digital solutions.
Performance Tracking: Maintain detailed records of sales activities, client interactions, and post-sales reporting to track performance against defined KPIs.
As part of this role, you will be required to handle credit card information. Metroland Media is PCI compliant company, and requires people in this role to take PCI training to handle cards in a safe and compliant manner.
Qualifications
Experience: 3-5 years in a sales role, ideally within the media, advertising, or lifestyle sectors.
Proven Track Record: Strong history of meeting and exceeding assigned revenue targets while building lasting client relationships.
Solutions-Oriented: Deep understanding of the lifestyle space and digital/social integrated solutions and non-traditional opportunities
Strong Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation abilities to effectively convey ideas.
Negotiation Skills: Strong negotiation abilities with a proven track record of closing deals.
Industry Knowledge: Knowledge of the Canadian media landscape, digital trends, and marketing strategies.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Education: Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred
