The Manager of Strategic Planning supports Indigo's strategic planning and organization development processes. Supporting the Chief Administrative Officer, the role oversees the development and communication of background analytical work, captures and synthesizes ideation sessions, and drives the scheduling and participation in key cross-functional meetings associated with both strategic planning and prioritized organization development efforts.

The role provides exceptional exposure to all aspects of the business and daily engagement with members of the organization's leadership team.

KEY PERFORMANCE METRICS

  • Timely completion of Strategic Planning and Organization Development Process outputs.
  • Stakeholder satisfaction with the support provided by the Manager of Strategic Planning and Organization Development in developing and completing strategic planning and organization development efforts.

  • Consultants (if needed)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Supports the Chief Administrative Officer in leading the strategic planning process, facilitating the Executive Team's development, prioritization, and alignment on Indigo's future vision and Corporate Strategy, including setting current year and multi-year targets and key performance indicators.
  • Prepares and maintain the Strategic Planning agenda and strategic planning process calendar to ensure timely delivery of the process outputs.
  • Monitors and compiles quarterly and annual reports for the Executive Team on the status and impact of Balanced Scorecards, strategic initiatives and key performance indicators.
  • Provides partnership and support to Executives,Business Unit and Operating Unit leads in developing their own strategic plans and goals.
  • Reviews, analyzes, and manages all Business Unit and Operating Unit strategies to ensure alignment with Indigo's key strategies.
  • Supports, and from time to time, facilitates meetings, ideation sessions and roundtables to advance Indigo's rigorous strategic strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for the enterprise, business units and operating units.
  • Conducts environmental scans and compiles research to assist the Executive Team, Business Unit and Operating Unit leaders in assessing Indigo's larger competitive environment and immediate environment, including relevant competitors, technologies, customer & labour trends, as well as socio economic conditions and relevant regulations.
  • Faimilarizes new leadership hires with Indigo's Strategic Planning Process.
  • Challenges the status quo by consistently identifying areas for improvement, diagnosing issues and working to resolve them.
  • Maintains a high level of strategic foresight by identifying customer and business needs, and adjusting objectives accordingly.
  • Demonstrates and inspires customer focused, process and systems thinking in Indigo's teams.
  • Collaborates with others to drive flexible and iterative solutions, quickly and easily.
  • Encourages others to freely share their point of view and be open to feedback.

Qualifications
  • A university degree is required, preferably with a background in business or related education.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with individuals at all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and systems thinking, with a commitment to building a high-performance organization.
  • Proven ability to synthesize information and communicate clearly through strong listening, writing, and presentation skills..
