Accounts Payable Technician

We are currently looking to fill a position of Accounts Payable Technician, reporting to the Chief Accountant and working with the accounting team located at the head office in Les Cèdres, near Vaudreuil-Dorion.

Responsibilities

  • Review all invoices prior to entering in accounts payable.
  • Process payment requests (checks, electronic transfers & wires).
  • Match invoices to checks, obtain all signatures for checks and distribute checks accordingly.
  • Insure all payables have been authorized for payment.
  • Respond to all vendor inquiries.
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research and correct discrepancies.
  • Resolve issues and take immediate action.
  • Prepare month end accruals.
  • Insure vendor payment instructions are verified and approved.
  • Ability to replace accounting team members during their time off.
  • Reconcile credit card payments

Qualifications
  • Minimum CEGEP DEC, Accounting, Finance.
  • Preferably 2 years' experience in similar role.
  • Bilingualism (English and French, spoken and written). Being a pan-Canadian company, bilingualism is required to ensure communications between all bases across the country.
  • Proficient with Excel (advanced features); knowledge of AS400 an asset.
  • Self-starter, good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Detail oriented professional.

Additional Information

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Status: permanent, full time
