Quality Assurance Lead for IT Projects

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) Lead to oversee the testing and quality assurance efforts for IT projects. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that all software and system changes meet quality standards and align with business requirements. You will lead a team of QA Analysts, define test strategies, and ensure that all project deliverables are tested thoroughly before release.

How will you support the team?

  • Lead the QA process for IT projects, ensuring high-quality software deliverables.
  • Define and implement test plans, test cases, and testing strategies for new features and system enhancements.
  • Oversee the execution of functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate with Project Managers, Developers, and Business Analysts to define test scope and requirements.
  • Identify and document defects, working closely with development teams to resolve issues.
  • Ensure that testing activities adhere to timelines and quality standards.
  • Mentor and train QA team members, providing guidance and support.
  • Report on testing progress, quality metrics, and defect trends to stakeholders.
  • Participate in root cause analysis and help implement continuous improvement processes.
  • Manage test environments and ensure proper setup for test execution.
  • Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) initiatives as required.

Qualifications

The people who thrive with us have:

  • 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a leadership role
  • Experience in integrating and implementing business systems, ERP platforms (e.g. Aptos, SAP, Oracle), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) solutions (e.g. Maple Lake) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools, eCom platforms, Point of Sale (POS), payment, business intelligence and reporting solutions
  • Strong experience in manual and automated testing methodologies
  • Expert ability in developing test cases, scenarios and scripts
  • Familiarity with testing tools (e.g. Selenium, QTP, JIRA, TestRail)
  • Knowledge of software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology
  • Strong understanding of defect tracking, test management, and reporting
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues before they become problems
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in performance testing or security testing is a plus.
