WHAT'S THE JOB?
Join our Kitikmeot Camp Solutions team at Goose Lake Project in Nunavut, where our people are driven by a desire to innovate, do social good, and make a difference.

As an Inventory Control Clerk, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily material/ product transactions. This includes tracking, storing, and inputting raw materials into and out of the project Inventory for the company.

You will also assist with organizing and maintaining material storage methods throughout the property to ensure materials are promptly returned to central storage areas for future use and to minimize waste. You will create accurate allocation reports that reflect what the projects require and communicate any changes made to material lists.

Your work will include:

  • Measuring, stabilizing and improving the effectiveness of inventory and materials/ product invoices for Culinary, Housekeeping, Janitorial, Commissary and other areas.
  • Responsible for the organization and maintenance of storage areas and inventory.
  • Analyzing the accuracy of purchase orders, invoices of material/ products and inventory transactions.
  • Communicating potential inventory product issues to the Executive Chef, Lodge Manager and Purchasing to avoid material shortages.
  • Ensure all products are stored using FOODSAFE and Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points (HACCP) methods and by Horizon North safety guidelines.
  • Responsible for organizing and leading daily, weekly and monthly inventory cycle counts, followed by inventory balance discrepancy analysis.
  • Placing orders for products and materials.
  • Look for effective ways to improve day-to-day operational objectives and efficiency.
  • Documenting and preparing reports for material/ product additions and returns for each location/ storage area.
  • Responsible for Commissary operations daily.
  • Placing orders for materials through the supplier website.

Qualifications

  • Ability to input, retrieve and analyze data.
  • Hands-on commitment to getting the job done efficiently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to demonstrate organizational, time-management and decision-making skills.
  • Managing a fluctuating workload and setting priorities to meet deadlines
  • Proficient in MS Office, GFS knowledge would be considered an asset.
