Part time position - approx. 57 hours bi weekly, with opportunity to go full time
Will be working with a small team in a casual fine dining setting with traditional hot line service with service tickets.
- Maintaining cleanliness standards of a kitchen
- Organization skills a must
- Prepare all food items based on weekly menus and standard recipes as well as daily feature menu item
- Work the food line during mealtimes.
- Basic understanding of Western culinary cuisine
- Good time management skills a must
- A self starter
- Ensure that all food meets safety guidelines and that all kitchen areas meet sanitation guidelines.
- Ensure resident and guest satisfaction by responding quickly to needs and requests.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward all residents, visitors and co-workers.
Qualifications
- Culinary School certificate or 3 - 4 years experience in the field
- Food Handlers certificate a must
- Thorough understanding of hot and cold food preparation
- Ability to use slicers, mixers, grinders, food processors, etc.
- Able to handle work in a fast-paced environment.
- Preparing awesome meals for our customers.
- Weighing, measuring, mixing, and prepping ingredients according to recipes.
- Steaming, grilling, broiling, baking, or frying meats, fish, vegetables, and other ingredients.
- Checking food and ingredients for freshness.
- Arranging and garnishing dishes.
- Working well under pressure and within the time limit.
- Ensuring that the kitchen area, equipment and utensils are cleaned.
