POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the Director of Planning and Allocation for the RW&CO. brand, the Planning Manager develops and executes planning and inventory flow strategies to support the Brand's business objectives by maximizing sales and profitability.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• In collaboration with the product development team, sets financial and strategic objectives and conducts ongoing review of retail sales, markdowns and inventory levels
• Leads, develops, and motivates a team of planners and planning analysts to deliver within the timeframes and strategic direction.
• Defines department strategies and makes recommendations for future season
• Maintains weekly sales inventory forecast with the product development team and revises budgets accordingly to ensure stock levels.
• Oversees unit forecast to meet sales, inventory financial and profit objectives.
• Develops and oversees execution of markdowns and promotional strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS & COMPENTENCIES

• University degree in Commerce, Finance, or related field of study
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in budgeting/inventory in a retail environment
• Excellent analytical and communication skills
• Ability to coach and mentor team members.
