JOB DESCRIPTION

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure Finished Product lab equipment is adequate and standardized through continuous monitoring, Measurement System Analyses (MSAs), Round Robin tests, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Maintain an up-to-date and standardized equipment list for all finished product testing labs.
  • Review and ensure accuracy of all standard operating test procedures.
  • Organize equipment MSAs as needed, analyze and report results, and distribute report.
  • Organize and participate in the annual Round Robin program, collect and distribute samples, gather data, analyze results, and distribute reports.
  • Use Round Robin report to identify gaps and document action items.
  • Audit Finished Product testing across sites to ensure adherence to critical procedural steps and document any discrepancies.
  • Compile branded and private label consumer complaints on a weekly/monthly basis and distribute reports.
  • Compile and issue weekly private label complaints, transfer all private label complaints to SharePoint for tracking in Power BI, and identify and track required action items.
  • Compile and issue bi-weekly Certificates of Analysis (COAs).
  • Ensure proper categorization and classification of all branded complaints, calculate Parts Per Million (PPM), and compile monthly Consumer Complaint Reports.
  • Analyze complaint categories to identify trends and opportunities for reducing complaints and defects.
  • Gather data and generate reports for trials and competitive comparisons.
  • Provide detailed analysis of results to support product development activities.
  • Report competitor product insights, highlighting any changes to the product.
  • Compile data and generate reports in Power BI.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Engineering Graduate (B.Eng), preferably Chemical Engineering
  • With at least 2 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in the tissue industry
  • Knowledge of paper making and converting processes
  • Superior capacity to understand and apply new concepts and processes correctly
  • Self-starter, self-driven, able to take initiative and ownership
  • Project management experience, including A3 problem-solving and Gantt chart creation
  • Strong presentation and communication skills at both leadership and operational levels
  • Leadership, mentoring, and coaching ability
  • Willing to travel up to 20% of the time
  • Pulp mill process knowledge is an asset
  • Yankee dryer management systems knowledge is an asset
