RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in and lead incident investigations and learning teams using the RCFA (Root Cause Failure Analysis) and framework.
- Participate on the plant's joint health and safety committee and complete other initiatives which drive safety excellence.
- Perform audits and inspections. Coach employees to assist in connecting front-line employees with safety initiatives and goals.
- Present pre-developed safety topics
- Retrieve, Compile, Analyze, Transform Safety Data.
- Be willing to transform; Seek, develop, and utilize our visions, strategies, methods, and products to create the greatest value; demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and motivation to succeed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma; currently enrolled in a post-secondary education in Business Administration, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field is preferred.
- Administrative experience, preferably in a safety or operations setting.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and the ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure. Proficiency in Power BI is an asset.
- None is required, but certification or training in Occupational Health and Safety (e.g., CHSEP) is an asset.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential for collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders.
