JOB DESCRIPTION
The Programs function is accountable to ISI leadership for ensuring that the project is delivered to the customer in accordance with the contract & scope of work, within constraints such as schedule and cost. The River Class Destroyer program is led by a Program Director and Program Managers, each with a sub-set of the contracted scope of work.
The Project Manager is assigned a scope of work traceable back to the contract. Project Managers are fully versed in the Statement of Work and Contract requirements for their delegated scope and, working alongside a Control Account Managers / functional lead to ensure delivery of that scope is planned & performance managed, and completed. This includes but isn't limited to managing corrective actions, scope changes, budgets, and milestone management.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the development of key Management Plans and other Deliverables based on input and direction from the Program Manager Strategy and the CSC Program Director. Develop the maturity of high-level Program Management processes to ensure a cohesive management structure to drive CSC Program execution.
  • Ensure integration and alignment of the Program Management Plan with other key management plans to ensure the Program is delivering value to the Customer in an efficient and cohesive manner.
  • Develop the integration of Program Management processes with the high-level processes of the other CSC Functional Departments to ensure a cohesive management structure is driving CSC Program execution.
  • Review and development of Program performance reports, metrics and dashboards, including identification and coordination of JDI IT resources to deliver the data.
  • Lead on communication and engagements with internal and external stakeholders where it applies to key Management Plans and high-level Program Processes.
  • Support the Program Manager level ad-hoc initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary degree, in business administration, engineering or related discipline.
  • Knowledge of in naval design or build sectors, or major international defence contracts, an asset
  • Considerable knowledge of project management principles; PMP designation an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply core Project Management processes: scheduling, budgeting and cost forecasting, performance tracking, risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience (5 years) in project management position in defense/design/construction industry.
  • Strong background in stakeholder management and teamwork skills.
  • Pro-active and results focused.
  • Strong leadership and teamwork skills; energetic and results-focused.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.
