JOB DESCRIPTION
The Quality Engineer within the Supplier Quality team will be responsible for collecting data and generating metrics to support analysis and management of supplier quality activities. In this position, the QE will support automating activities within the Supplier Quality team and implement process improvement projects to improve the quality of suppliers and members of the SQ team.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Collect data to create metrics to monitor supplier quality systems and processes.
  • Create metrics and visualizations to enable data driven decisions throughout the supplier quality team.
  • Analyze supplier quality metrics to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Automate tools within supplier quality team via Excel, MS Power Apps.
  • Develop processes within supplier quality team.
  • Complete continuous improvement initiatives within supplier quality team to reduce inefficiencies within existing processes.
  • Develop presentations and facilitate meetings on supplier quality and supplier performance.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, or equivalent experience.
  • P.Eng would be considered an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 9001:2015, AS 9100 or equivalent Quality Management Systems.
  • 5+ years of data management and visual presentation experience.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office products (Notably Excel, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Knowledge of MS PowerQuery, PowerApps would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of Tableau would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, oil and gas or ocean technology would be considered an asset.
  • Experience in data visualization would be considered an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal and facilitation skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills.
  • Excellent relationship management skills.
