JOB DESCRIPTION
This position is responsible for operating and maintaining a biomass boiler and 4 dry kilns. They are also responsible for performing general plant maintenance and inspections. Our mill operates 24/7, and will require working 12-hour shifts on a day/night continental rotation.
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Daily inspections to visually verify that all equipment is functioning properly around the plant
  • Small repairs requiring the use of small hand tools and preventative maintenance
  • Perform ongoing system checks and ensuring they are properly logged, including checking temperature, pressure and water levels, etc
  • Monitor various pressures, temperatures, flow levels, sensors, and troubleshooting alarms associated with the equipment
  • Ensure general housekeeping and maintain equipment standards

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must hold a Class 3 Power Engineer license (Class 4 Power Engineers with relevant experience may be considered)
  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and operational best practices specific to industrial boiler and kiln
  • Capacity to effectively collaborate with team members
