OPERATIONS TEAM LEADER, RELIEF
The Opportunity:
We currently have an exciting opportunity within our Paper Mill for an Operations Team Leader, Relief to support our Finishing and Shipping department.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for day-to-day operation of the paper finishing and shipping department and supervision of unionized employees. Will coordinate the flow of paper through the department for shipping to customers throughout the world. We are the largest producer of supercalendered paper in North America and supply customers with world class magazine and catalogue paper.

• Leading a skilled unionized operations team in a safe and effective manner. working with various departments throughout the mill to ensure production and quality targets are met.
• You will administer the collective agreement(s), input and approve daily time entries, and identify areas for improvement within your area(s) of responsibility.
• Safety and environmental awareness
• Will be willing to support the development of an engaged workforce with a focus on continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education Required: Bachelor's Degree or 2 year completed diploma in a related field.
• Manufacturing logistics and Shipping experience considered an asset.
• Proven track record in performance and results
• Industry related experience is an asset
• Familiar with computerized operations and administrative systems
• Shift experience working in a 24/7 operation
• Willing to work a combination of day and shift work in a safety conscious, fast paced manufacturing plant.
• Previous leadership experience as front-line supervisor. Ideally in some type of manufacturing, operations, or transportation environment
