JOB DESCRIPTION
J.D. Irving, Limited Woodlands Division is currently seeking a motivated individual for the role of Financial Analyst located in Saint John, N.B.
As a key resource to the Woodlands Division, the successful candidate thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, while maintaining a high level of professionalism, and strong communication skills across various organizational levels. This position will work closely with the Finance and Woodlands Management team, providing financial insight to drive improvements in the business. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Work directly with business leaders to support strategic decision making through strong financial analysis and reporting.
  • Analyze financial statements and share insights with the business to drive improvement
  • Proactive trend analysis to help management understand potential issues and recommend corrective action
  • Maintain an operating forecast and continuously improve the process of capturing new information
  • Presentation of findings and specific recommendations to operations and management
  • Operational and Financial KPI Development and Tracking
  • Analytical support for capital projects and initiatives
  • Build partnerships with a wide variety of stakeholders to assist with problem solving, analysis and business improvement
  • Weekly cash management and forecasting

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education Required: Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field
  • CPA designation completed, or in progress is preferred, other professional training considered
  • 2-5 years of experience in an accounting or financial analysis-based position
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work both as part of a team and independently
  • Excellent Excel skills. Knowledge of E1, TM1, Cognos or other database and reporting tools considered an asset
