JOB DESCRIPTION
Intermediate Cost Controller is responsible for actively delivering Cost Control operations to the Supply Chain organization, with a focus on delivering positive business results. The includes business processes and projects designed to improve reliability and accuracy of the Supply Chain Material estimate at completion (EAC).
RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze spend data to create insights:
    • Derive trends in project data/ activities to identify risks, performance opportunities and other variables to anticipate future forecasts.
    • Perform cost analysis that aims at improving production and reducing risk contributing to the overall project success.
  • Stakeholder Management:
    • Develop and grow relationships across supply chain to enable EAC planning & execution.
    • Work closely with Procurement Managers and stakeholders to develop and deploy projects.
    • Actively seek feedback and mitigate risk throughout risk review periods
  • Effectively Manage Spend:
    • Stabilize and improve cost management systems and analyze budgets, commitments, and actual costs to ensure for accuracy.
    • Daily management activities, including Purchase Order approvals, forecast review and vendor historical analysis. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of deliverables
    • Document, communicate and monitor procedures
  • Update and Present Reports:
    • Prepare and present components of EAC updates to key stakeholders as required on a weekly, monthly & quarterly basis.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Knowledge - education, certificates, licenses, registration, and knowledge required
    • 2-5 years of experience including cost analysis, cost management, budgeting, data analytics and/or finance and accounting.
    • Completed post-secondary education in relevant field of study (eg. Business, accounting, finance, engineering, or project management)
    • Yellow, Green Belt, Black Belt or PMP considered an asse
  • Technical Skills - required skills to apply knowledge
    • Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks, generally achieved over 2-5 years of relevant experience
    • Demonstrated proficiency with MS office suite
    • Strong understanding of the business and ISI's various programs, would be considered an asset
    • Experience with ERP or MRP systems would be considered an asset
  • Social Process Skills - required skills for effective working relationships
    • Drive results: Ability to lead change, multitask and manage priorities to meet project deliverables
    • Organization skills: Coordinate stakeholders, meetings, plans and document key decisions.
    • Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with project teams and influence as required.
    • Detail Oriented: Keen attention to detail and comfortable working with data
    • Effective and Clear Communication Skills: Ability to adjust communication style based on audience ex. Technical conversations to industry days
