JOB DESCRIPTION
The Quality Control Receiving Inspector is required to read and interpret material specifications and standards from internal company stakeholders, suppliers and external governing agencies to ensure materials are in accordance with same. They perform visual inspections of material in accordance with company requirements and work within Supply Chain value stream to support ISIs Zero Defects and Zero Lates programs. The Quality Control Inspector will utilize basic inspection tools and techniques to ensure accuracy of performed inspection and document non-conformances found during inspection activities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform in-bound material inspections
- Review and file submitted certification documents
- Perform visual inspections of Return to Stock items
- Perform visual inspections of stored material for Care and Preservation
- Document and report on non-conforming materials
QUALIFICATIONS
- EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 3+ years of related experience in manufacturing, construction, automotive, aerospace, oil and gas or ocean technology
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems
- Working knowledge of National and International material standards/specifications
- Experience with basic inspection tools and techniques
- EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Red Seal Trade Certification, in associated trade (welding, pipe fitting, electrical, electronics, machining, mechanical) or equivalent experience.
- CERTIFICATES, LICENSES OR REGISTRATION REQUIRED:
- NACE Certification (Considered an asset)
- Recognized Inspection Certification (Considered an asset)
