JOB DESCRIPTION

Midland Transport is currently seeking a Manager, Financial Planning to be based out of our Head-Office location in Dieppe, NB.
Reporting to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will provide detailed financial tools (including budget and forecasts) that will assist with decision making and will be responsible to plan and facilitate the annual budget process, and responsible to execute the monthly forecast.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide guidance in formulating financial models for business proposals, growth and expansion opportunities. Additionally, provide financial guidance and support to internal departments.
  • Manage the financial planning team and coordinate the analysis of financial results and identification of business opportunities.
  • Review and analyze cost efficiency initiatives and projects.
  • Support analysis on projects and strategic initiatives.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: University Degree in Business or related discipline
  • Experience: 7-10 years of relevant work experience required
  • Experience with Microsoft edge (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Excellent problem solving and prioritizing skills
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
  • Excellent people management skills mentoring, coaching and leadership skill
