JOB DESCRIPTION
A leader in the Maritime Forest Products Industry, the Doaktown Sawmill is currently seeking a motivated individual to fill the position of Production Support.
Being a part of the Production Support team means your primary responsibility is to provide general labour support to the production teams while ensuring the safe and continued operation of the Doaktown Sawmill, Planermill, and Value-Added lines. The ideal candidate for this role will understand that this position will include shifts that can operate overnight.
RESPONSIBILITIES
This is a site-wide position, where the individual will work in a variety of areas; duties include:

  • Committing to and always promoting the use of safe practices
  • Cleaning up
  • Handling and lifting materials
  • Must be hard working with a strong work ethic
  • The position will require minimum 9 hr. shifts and may include night and weekend shifts
  • Other general labour responsibilities

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Any previous related labour work experience would be considered an asset
  • Must be a self-starter and team player
  • Experience in a sawmill or production/manufacturing setting is considered an asset
