The Northern New Brunswick Forestry Operations Division is seeking to fill a position of Heavy Equipment Mechanic / Truck and Transport with a reliable and motivated individual who demonstrates a positive attitude towards teamwork.

RESPONSIBILITIES
What you will do:

  • Perform heavy equipment maintenance activities, including installation, repair, troubleshooting, diagnostics and preventive maintenance,
  • Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance of equipment
  • Disassemble and reassemble engines and mechanical units to inspect and diagnose parts using computerized test equipment, calibration devices, gauges, etc.
  • Repair and overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
  • Follow all established safety policies and standards, including proper identification, use and procedures for handling or disposing of hazardous waste.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required Education: Heavy Equipment Mechanic Diploma
  • Years of experience required : 2 to 5 years
  • A Red Seal is considered an asset, but not required. Candidates with a mechanic block 1, 2 or 3 will be considered
  • Experience in welding and repairing forestry equipment considered an asset
  • Must be able to work in a flexible, fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Must be autonomous and detail-oriented.
  • Analytical and problemm solbing skills
  • Being bilingual is asset.
