JOB DESCRIPTION
INVENTORY CONTROL ADMINISTRATOR
Gulf Operators, Ltd. is a civil contractor experienced in all aspects of civil work including drilling and blasting, concrete work, excavation, water and sewer, as well as aggregate production and sales.

We are currently seeking applicants for the position of INVENTORY CONTROL ADMINISTRATOR to join our dynamic team in Saint John, New Brunswick.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that the parts and items needed in inventory are always in stock and are organized in the system.
  • Discuss with the Maintenance Manager and Shop Scheduler to build a list of what is required and the frequency of the repairs to determine how much to have in stock at the time.
  • Setup the stockroom completed with properly labelled shelving units and barcodes for the items so they can be easily logged once they are received and easily taken out once they are used.
  • As new assets arrive build the equipment BOM in the system, add any new items to inventory.
  • Assist in the carryout quarterly counts of all items to ensure that they matchup with what is currently listed in the system as "stock".
  • Creation of Purchase Orders (PO's) and Requisitions (REQ'S) to purchase new parts and materials for the Maintenance Shop and Gulf site.
  • Issue purchase orders to the appropriate vendor for the amount listed in the quote.
  • Receive/match invoices in JDI system.
  • Enter and balance company VISA.
  • Other related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications:

  • Years of Experience Required:
  • Excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to adapt to an ever-changing work environment.
  • Strong computer skills (Purchase Orders, requisitions, inventory Management, Microsoft Office)
  • High attention to detail and time management
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Customer Service experience is considered an asset.
  • Inventory Management experience required.
