RESPONSIBILITIES
Machine Operation
- Working with a team of employees to operate high speed production and packaging equipment and technology
- Performing diagnostics / troubleshooting duties of various production and packaging lines
- Maintain, monitor and/or adjust equipment and technology based on the production runs and quality standards
- Handle and feed a variety of raw materials into machinery and equipment in an effort to maintain production runs
- Work closely with maintenance and logistics and use sound judgment when working with a team and other departments
- Perform all of the above duties safely and respect high health and safety standards, perform general housekeeping duties on assigned production and packaging lines in an effort to support safety standards
- All other related duties as assigned
Relief Electrician
- Relieving shift electrician on an as needed basis (will include days, nights, weekends, etc.)
- Support production by minimizing electrical downtime
- Maintaining and troubleshooting of the electrical equipment, components, etc.
- Ensure proper diagnosing and troubleshooting of equipment and machinery to maximize uptime
- Act as the sole electrician on site on nights and weekends
- Perform electrical work orders on machinery and equipment as they arise and update work order status
- Be an active member of the electrical group, ensure proper communication during shifts changes, etc.
- Entering and completion of electrical work orders in a timely fashion
- Participate in ongoing training courses/seminars
- Be available for technical support and leadership of co-workers
- Involvement in site projects, equipment upgrades or modifications
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education Required: Electrical Certification / College Diploma
- Experience Required: - Experience with PLC's and computer skills would be considered an asset
- Must be self-motivated and results driven
- Ability to work independently as well in a team environment
- Commitment to the health and safety of all employees
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer focus
- Strong organizational and troubleshooting abilities
