We are looking for motivated candidates to fill the position of Log Scaler in the Kedgwick yard.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide support in the management of roundwood inventories (measurements, verification of factors and stacking in the yard)
  • Measure wood and perform quality tests
  • Perform log classification
  • Contribute to the site's safety management system
  • Perform various reports and other administrative tasks
  • Perform staff supervision
  • Implement and apply health, safety and quality standards at all times

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Required education: post-secondary education
  • Having training in forestry and/or measuring cards are assets
  • Problem-solving skills, analytical and synthesis skills
  • Being bilingual
  • Ability to plan, set priorities and meet tight deadlines
  • Good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Autonomy, initiative and leadership
  • Good team spirit
  • Possess excellent communication skills with a natural ability to influence those around you.
  • Ability to multitask
  • Having training as a measurer would be an asset
