JOB DESCRIPTION

Midland is currently seeking a full-time Office Administrator reporting to the Terminal Manager at the Charlottetown location. The selected candidate will be a self-starter with a strong work ethic and a "Can Do" attitude.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead, Coach, and Develop the Administrative and Customer Service staff at the Charlottetown Terminal
  • Conduct ongoing performance management to ensure office productivity and customer service standards are met
  • Ensure Superior Quality Service is provided to our internal and external customers while continuing to increase employee engagement
  • Schedule the office employees to ensure appropriate staffing levels at all times
  • Support and promote continuous improvement
  • Collaborate with other managers to implement required policies and procedures accurately, and to ensure that the goals and objectives for the terminal are met
  • Plan and organize training, meetings, and staff functions
  • All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with transport Administration
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Professional, accommodating, enthusiastic, and supportive demeanor
  • Strong organizational skills and detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced group environment
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines
  • Functional working knowledge of Courier Software Systems and Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
