Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in a college or University program.
- Experience in a food manufacturing environment is an asset.
- Excellent communication skills both oral and written.
- Strong attention to detail.
- No previous experience required - training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling raw meat and orienting products on conveyor belts
- Removing filled containers from conveyors
- Packing meat into cartons, bags, or other containers
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Follow health and safety regulations and adhere to food safety standards
- Performing any other required general labor duties
Working Conditions:
- Physical Effort: Almost all the time is spent standing in the same position or walking. Some requirements to lift/ handle material or equipment of moderate weight.
- Physical Environment: Frequent exposure to factors such as temperature variations or extremes, fumes, moving machinery, humidity, and toxic materials that cause periods of extreme discomfort and/or moderate risk of accident or illness.
- Sensory Attention: Regular needs to give close attention, either hearing or seeing what is happening.
- Mental Stress: There is some modest pressure from deadlines or other productivity standards. Work is somewhat repetitious.
