Summer Student - Application Engineer

Currently, we have an opening for a Summer Student - Application Engineer. The Application Engineer Student is responsible for providing application and engineering knowledge, advice and support both internally and externally to resolve requests regarding Sandvik's underground drills to maximize the benefits derived from the organization's products and/or services.

Please note that student positions are offered on a full time or part time contract basis for a maximum of 90 days.

What You Will Be Doing

• Creation and coordination of 'Scope of Work' documents for new equipment
• Working with Lifecyle Team on reconciling estimated cost of maintenance versus actuals
• Working with 'Mean Time Before Failure' analyses
• Learning our core businesses - Battery Electric Drivelines, Underground Drills, Loaders, Trucks, Ground Support, Design Software, Equipment Automation, etc.
• Supporting site visits
• Simulator set up and testing
• Documentation development for product offerings and upgrades
• Other ad hoc projects
