Responsibilities:

• Develop discipline-specific 3D models and generate manufacturing information (MI) for all stages of construction
• Produce accurate and efficient production drawings in alignment with VSY's standards and processes
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to resolve technical design issues and support integration decisions
• Support production by providing technical guidance and ensuring design intent is met on the shop floor
• Apply lessons learned to improve future design processes and maintain consistency across projects
• Monitor project timelines, resources, and deliverables to ensure work is completed on time and within scope

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or diploma in design (or related field), or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 3-5 years of experience in detailed design within manufacturing or heavy industry, preferably in shipbuilding
• Proficient in Cadmatic Hull; familiarity with Rhino, NavisWorks, and e-Share is a strong asset
• Solid understanding of marine structural design and production best practices
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills, with the ability to document and present complex information clearly
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-changing environment

Pay Rate: $38-44/hour
